King County’s Exciting New Funding Organization for Culture
On December 5, 2023, the King County Council unanimously passed Doors Open legislation to increased funding to the County’s arts, heritage, science and historic preservation non-profit organizations through a .01 percent sales tax. 4Culture is the County’s designated agency to distribute these funds. Anticipated to be $100 million per year, a minimum of 25 percent of all Doors Open funding will go to organizations outside of the city of Seattle. How to Work with the City To Obtain Your Special Event Permit
WFEA has joined with the Seattle Special Events office and key staff from city departments and agencies to provide information and answer your questions about permits for special events. Hear from or on behalf representatives from police, parks, fire, transportation, and several others on how events and the city can work together effectively.
