Funding Opportunities Available for Festival and Event Organizers

12:00 – 12:45 PM

Learn about future grants that will be available for festival and event organizers in the State of Washington. First, we will cover funding opportunities from the Washington State Arts Commission, who will have grants available for festivals and events of all sizes. Secondly, The Washington State Department of Commerce is making $3.5 million available this summer specifically for festival and events in communities with a population of 100,000 or less. WFEA and ArtsWA will be administering this fund – we want to go over how to apply for the grant and what will be important to grant reviewers.

Bruce Skinner, Executive Director, Washington Festivals and Events Association

Miguel Guillen, Washington State Arts Commission

Learn best practices for moving forward and planning for the future

12:45 – 1:30 PM

Like most other events in the U.S., most festivals and events in the State of Washington have had to postpone or cancel several of their events during COVID-19. Learn what events are doing to cut back on expenses and to generate revenue, especially through sponsorship.
